The Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) asked us to produce this booklet titled UK Seabirds in 2006 (Results from the UK Seabird Monitoring Programme) hardly a snappy title but an important document none the less. As the JNCC is a government organisation their findings have to be accessable to all walks of life so publising their results of this subject had to be treated in a delicate way, too 'wordy' and no-one but the hardcore will be interested and too 'pictoral' and you run the risk of dumbing down the content. A balancing act between information and style has to be achieved. Fortunatley the JNCC have a huge library of photography at our disposal and our treatment of the graphics added some much needed colour.
