A recent client for us - DGPS4U - are specialists in DGPS, GPS and tracking solutions and in the past we have provided them with products and services such as stickers, posters and a website.
They approached us recently to produce carrier bags for a promotional trade show, something they could fill with literature and 'freebies' and hand out to interested visitors. Due to various technical issues it can be extremely difficult to show photographic / halftone images on this type of carrier bag but we wanted to give DGPS4U something a little ‘special’. So we developed a digital process which we call 'tooling', based on an ancient print technique. This enabled us to meet the budget allowed for this job while producing something out of the ordinary for the client.
